Kelly Curtis

Owner/Broker

Kelly Curtis is the sole owner of Mortgage Designers Inc. and a seasoned mortgage broker with 36 years of experience in the industry. Born and raised in Victoria BC, Kelly has deep roots in the community and a strong understanding of the local real estate market. Before transitioning into mortgages, she spent three years as a real estate agent, giving her a well-rounded perspective on the entire home buying and selling process. Her in-depth knowledge of real estate transactions, combined with her dedication to client success, has made her a trusted resource for homebuyers, realtor partners, and members of her community. Known for her professionalism, expertise, and unwavering commitment, Kelly brings both insight and integrity to every deal she handles.

In addition to running her own successful brokerage, Kelly currently serves as Vice President of the Mortgage Brokers Institute of British Columbia (MBIBC), where she plays an active role in the education side of the mortgage brokering industry. She has also held numerous positions on the MBIBC board over the past 22 years, contributing her experience and leadership to the ongoing development and support of mortgage professionals across the province.

Beyond her career, Kelly is a devoted mother, proud grandmother, and a supportive sister within her large, close-knit family. She maintains an active lifestyle, often spending her free time hiking with her dog, Zona, and enjoying the natural beauty of the West Coast.

Nick Broughton

Mortgage Planner

Nick Broughton has been a dedicated mortgage professional with Mortgage Designers for the past five years, working closely with Kelly to deliver tailored financing solutions and a seamless client experience. Prior to entering the mortgage industry, Nick spent 5 years in the insurance field, where he developed a strong foundation in risk management and client-focused service.

His background in both sectors allows him to approach each client’s situation with a well-rounded perspective, offering thoughtful solutions and clear, honest advice. Nick is committed to transparency and professionalism, ensuring that every client feels informed and supported throughout the mortgage process.

Outside of work, Nick enjoys hiking Golfing, and spending time with friends, family, and loved ones.

Hannah Silletta

Client Coordinator

Hannah is responsible for the day-to-day workings of the Mortgage Designers office, ensuring a smooth, welcoming experience for every client from the moment they begin their journey. She plays a key role behind the scenes, helping to keep operations running efficiently and supporting both clients and the team throughout the process.

With several years of experience in Victoria’s restaurant industry, Hannah brings strong client service skills and a warm, approachable presence to the team. She also has a solid understanding of social media and technology, which she uses to support communication and engagement.

Outside the office, Hannah enjoys playing field hockey, gardening, and spending time with friends and family.
